Dr. Daniel Phillips has been my orthopedic surgeon since 1994 when a fall that was not correctly identified
for four months required an unusual amount of expertise to assure I would have full use of my left leg and allow me to return to a profession I loved.
For the past twenty-four years Dr. Phillips has been asked to perform many other surgeries as age, my active
lifestyle and osteoporosis have required. He has always explained in detail the procedure required, the followup physical therapy and allowed
time to answer any questions I might have had. In discharging me after each procedure he always left the door open to call him back for later questions.
Dr. Phillips has several qualities that
make him an especially effective orthopediccsurgeon. The first one is his ability to listen, process information
and provide an accurate diagnosis. The second is his expertise in the OR which is predicated on his sincere mission to
return every patient to the best quality of life possible. The third is the quiet
way he takes time to encourage the patient through the most difficult recoveries.
As a challenging patient (former critical care nurse) I find Dr. Phillips is the epitome of what all surgeons should
strive to be. I feel greatly blessed that
his superb talents have allowed me to maintain an excellent quality of life for a person my age.
