You simply must stay here while this treasure still exists. This is the oldest hotel in Gatlinburg, is very clean, offers a free breakfast, is RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of town, has great parking, reasonable prices, and oozes charm. There are nicer and higher priced places in town, but you will not have the experience of sitting in a rocking chair in front of a warm to fireplace after breakfast in a room full of historic paintings and a history of the area while sipping coffee like you can here. I regret not taking my wife to a place or two that are no longer with us due to fire and natural disaster, but we have stayed here on 3 occasions and loved it every time. Our last visit was to the "Rocky Top" room where we ourselves came up with our own inspiration for some new concepts for our business that have taken off and been amazing. Maybe a coincidence? Maybe you should try staying in that room as well!
