Our property was broken into. Most all of our personal belongings were stolen, from such small items as shampoo and soap to clothing, rugs, quilts and TV. The stolen objects included sentimental items from my recently deceased parents. Our storage shed was also broken into, again the thieves taking small items, like motor oil to high priced items such as our gas grill and our brand-new riding mower. The Sheriff’s department assigned a deputy and a detective to our case. The only time we received any information was when we either constantly called these officers or when we went directly to the Chief. This is a major crime, costing us over $30,000 in out-of-pocket losses. We have not heard back from anyone in the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s department in months. Extremely disappointed in the service we are receiving concerning our burglary.
