Horrible customer service at Ridgeway Office in Memphis!!!!
Nevermind that Memphis is located in the south and supposed to have "southern hospitality". This Regions Bank location has some of the WORST customer service I've ever witnessed IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!
And I NEVER write reviews, ever. But this one, I had to speak up about.
There is definitely a gap between the core values listened on corporate's website and how the individual branch staff members actually treat their customers, especially the teller named Tenesia.
I was in town for business and went to the bank nearest to my hotel...Regions.
I needed to send a Western Union (don't EVER send a WU through regions unless you want to spend over 45 mins on the entire process!!!) and was asked to stand to the side because the older African American female teller was locked out of the WU system. She said she had to help EVERYONE ELSE in line before helping me. REALLY?
Mind you, this was after already waiting 10 minutes in line prior to getting to the counter. There about 5 people in line at this point.
Then after 5 minutes of waiting Tenesia Pollard strolls in from her break and attempts to help me as more people pour into the line. It went all downhill from there.
Tenesia took her sweet time entering in my information which was just 1 page of info. She stopped to have side conversations to tend to other customers when asked for help by other tellers. Neglecting the fact that she wasn't helping me at all. My time is precious and so is yours.
Meanwhile, I am now 25 minutes in of waiting to send ONE Western Union out of TWO I needed to send. Tenesia didn't get done until 20 minutes later on one transaction. I asked her if the 2nd transaction would take her as long and she said "yes". She was trying to hold her attitude but didn't do so good at it.
No one ever acknowledged my valid frustration or was empathetic towards me and the now 45 minutes I sent at the bank for ONE WU transaction. Of that 45 mins it took her 20-25 mins to slowly finish helping me. Unacceptable.
While there, I also witnessed them accessing people's accounts and making deposits in the drive thru without asking for proper identification because they "knew them".
Umm... Is that a such thing to treat some customers one way and others another by not requiring them to show proper ID?
It is absolutely unacceptable to have such horrible customer service from a company that touts one of their core values as putting people first and putting the customer first.
Yeah right!!! That's a joke!!
I asked for a corporate number and was given the 1-800 number to their online account management services, which never gives the option for a rep. Horrible. Another 15 mins wasted on calling that number.
And since there is no other way to make a formal complaint at thr branch OR TO CORPORATE, I am just posting my review on Google directly.
If you can go somewhere else for a bank or other services, go. Avoid this location and their slow and non-existent customer service at all costs.
No more Regions Bank for me!!!
