Found myself at Hendersonville Tire with my Toyota Highlander to have the front tires checked for balance. My family and I had evacuated from Jupiter Florida in response to hurricane Irma. Irma had not made landfall yet. The unknown created a sublime tension, for me and I'm sure all Floridians. After a short wait I was told the car was ready to go. The gentleman at the register would not take any money. I'd not held a discourse with him or the staff I'm convinced they saw the Florida plates knew why I was in town and were paying a kindness forward.
