I shouldn't even give this one star. Let me start by stating that he made a $40,000 mistake that wasn't in my favor. When I questioned him about the amount that I owed, he was arrogant and spit out a 30 second long explanation that gave me a general idea, but not a clear idea as to why. Given some of the circumstances, I figured it made sense and he was a CPA, after all. After getting over the pit in my stomach, I withdrew money from my savings and paid it. In 2017 I went to Brown & MacGuire and had the best experience. The CPA was extremely professional. After I referenced my horrible 2015 return, he questioned it. Once he'd completed my 2016 taxes, he contacted me and said that he'd like to take a look at 2015 - he found it unsettling and from what he could see from my 2016 tax information, he wanted to investigate. He asked me for all of the documentation from 2015...lo and behold, he caught Mr. Jackson's $40,000 error. He filed an amended return and I got my money back from the IRS. DO NOT go Eddie Jackson.
