I am the caregiver for a woman I have lived with for 16 years. She has been a patient at Cherokee Health Clinton for close to two years and is on TennCare because she is permanently disabled since 2010. Care there started out very good but has gone downhill ever since to where I would now call it poor. The office employees, nurse, and primary care provider are all poor at following through such as returning calls and providing prescriptions to the pharmacy. They could avoid a lot of prescription issues if the provider there didn't write them for only three or less monthly refills (these are maintenance drugs she has been on for years) but they don't. They also have a patient portal that we have tried to use and they don't even respond to the requests on it (some are months old).
We really have a problem with the current case manager working there. She is pretty useless as she is not knowledgeable (e.g. knows nothing about service or emotional support animals), not helpful, doesn't follow up, misses appointments she scheduled, lied about getting information she said she was getting, and doesn't have a clue how to interact with a caregiver.
Turnover there is very high. When I asked to speak to the office manager they said they don't have one and that I would have to speak to someone in their corporate office. Careful what you wish for because I just made a formal complaint with the corporate office. I do NOT recommend getting your health care from this provider.
