We have had nothing but a bad experience with the purchase of this home, and we have owned many homes in the past and have always been fortunate, having great experiences. Our home is located in a flood zone, which is illegal to build a new home in the city of Brentwood, but Beazer built the homes anyway before this was all resolved. We have had one problem after the other with the way our home was finished. Very poor craftsmanship in finishing of the interior, very poor. Cracks, dents, scratches everywhere. Every floor in the house whether tile or wood, is scratched or actually missing pieces of wood, or has chips and cracks. Every cabinet in the kitchen is scratched. Every one. Our microwave is scratched. Many windows in the house are scratched, deep scratches. Our driveway is cracked in more than one area now and looks horrible. Our concrete on the front porch and back porch have cracks, and so does our garage. The fishing pier, which was listed as an amenity is a disaster. Cars come in and out all day long and use the area. Lots and lots of men, and groups of teens. They are causing major traffic jams, they block our entrance getting in and out of the neighborhood. They throw trash, drink alcohol, they just dump everything on the ground when they leave. There are no trash receptacles in that area. They also drag kayaks and canoes into the lake. And geese have taken over the lake also. Many, many geese. They are dropping waste all along every part of the walking trails, which we are are having difficulty using to begin with because of all the crowds of people coming in to the use the fishing pier illegally. I would NEVER recommend this development to anyone. Beazer needs to get together and correct some of these problems which are major at this time. They are still building a final phase. People are going to buy in good faith and then run into the same problems we are all having. We also pay $65 a month for a HOA Association whose hands seem to be tied trying to resolve some of these issues for us. I am at this time very concerned about our investment. Please do your homework before buying in Owl Creek.
