Horrible. One star is too much. The car my son drives (my car) overheated and my son went to get the oil changed at another facility. The mechanic looked at it and told him the head gasket was blown, so we took it to Athens Cylinder Head on a Tuesday afternoon. We were asked to pay $300 up front for parts, which we did, and were told this would be complete the next day. A couple of hours later we got a call saying the part wouldn't be in until the next afternoon (Wednesday) so the work was delayed, but they would go ahead and get started. We were told the gasket was blown but not cracked. Skip ahead to Monday, still not ready but was told they just needed Steve to do a test before they put it back together, but he was out sick. He was out sick Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Wednesday morning (today) I called to see if he would be in, the guy on the phone said Steve usually calls by 9:30 or 10 if he's not going to be in. I told him to call me if he wouldn't be in so we could go from there. I got no call, so called to see if my car was ready at 4 pm. I was told that Steve hadn't come in today either, but had called to say my car would need an additional $300 of work over what was originally quoted. I had them put my parts in a box and I had it towed to another mechanic. My husband went by Athens Cylinder Head to check on a refund, but we didn't get one because the bill was for $300 worth of labor. The new mechanic (who saw the car before we took it) said that nothing has been fixed, and there was still antifreeze on the timing belt that hadn't been cleaned off for the entire week. There was also water standing in various parts still under the hood.
